This Privacy Policy explains how Mr. Sendman (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our Shopify email automation application and this website.
1. Information we process
When a Shopify merchant installs our app, we process the data needed to send emails on their behalf, including:
- Store information — store name, domain, and brand settings.
- Customer contact data provided by the merchant’s store, such as email address and first name, used solely to send the merchant’s automated emails.
- Email engagement events — sends, opens, clicks, bounces, complaints, and unsubscribes.
2. How we use information
We use this information only to provide the service: to render and deliver the merchant’s emails, handle bounces and complaints, suppress recipients who have unsubscribed, and show merchants performance analytics.
3. We do not sell data
We never sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing. We do not buy email lists. Emails are sent only to a merchant’s own customers and subscribers.
4. Sub-processors
We use trusted infrastructure providers to operate the service, including Amazon Web Services for email delivery and hosting, and our database provider. These providers process data only on our instructions.
5. Data retention
We retain merchant and customer data for as long as the merchant’s account is active. When a merchant uninstalls the app, associated data is deleted in accordance with Shopify’s data-handling requirements.
6. Your rights
Recipients can unsubscribe from a merchant’s emails at any time using the link in every message. Merchants and their customers may request access to or deletion of their data by contacting us.
